8179 Laurel View Drive

We previewed this amazing 1920's Mediterranean Villa today, located just above the strip off of Laurel Canyon.  It's been beautifully renovated and restored with great care and attention to detail and abundant with old Hollywood glamour.  Great views with a pool and separate guest house, lush gardens and privacy.  Such a handsome house, beautifully stage by Postobello Home.

Farmshop : : Brentwood Country Mart

If you haven't been to Farmshop in the Brentwood Country Mart, it is definitely worth a visit.  It reminds me a bit of Joan's on Third, also one of my favorite lunch spots.  The lobster roll was outrageously good.  Josh, who is from Maine, is a self-proclaimed lobster roll expert and gave it a thumbs up.  I had the egg salad with toasted brioche and heirloom beets - delicious.  Both pictured below.  Now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Firenze Mid-Century : : for sale

I just listed 7766 Firenze in the Hollywood Hills, for sale $1,150,000. I enjoy working with creative clients who can see a property's potential. When I worked initially with my client in the purchase of this home a few years ago, she was instantly drawn to the homes “layout and structure, privacy and potential.” Now elegantly remodeled, her vision perfectly executed.

Be sure to visit his website, his portfolio of work will blow you away. Congrats Jamie!

The Adams Residence, 1957 : : for lease

I've just listed The Adam's Residence for lease, located at 2540 Astral Dr. in upper Nichols Canyon in the Hollywood Hills.

When I met Portia Adams and her lovely daughters we sipped tea on the sun deck and I learned a bit about their home's unique history. The family designed and built the post & beam architectural themselves, and in the late 1950’s they were some of the only inhabitants in Upper Nichols Canyon. “It was a peaceful retreat” in good company, the neighboring properties include The Johnson House, by Buff Straub & Hensman Architects, and The Loring House, by Richard Neutra, among others.

Lora Lamm

I recently stumbled upon the graphic art of Swiss designer Lora Lamm, who was "a major contributor to the Milanese design style of Italy during the 1950s and 1960s." More of her work can be found at Display.  I love the fashion posters she did for Italian department store la Rinascente and her Pirelli ads are amazing.

Ben Stiller's Compound

Not too long ago Josh and I previewed Ben Stiller's compound in Outpost Estates.   The house itself is incredible, but I was particularly struck by the use of Moroccan tiles throughout the gardens and patios.
